Short-term hands-on exposure to professional laboratory practices and commonly used techniques. Modules can be selected to suit the student’s academic background and the length of the internship.

B.Sc., M.Sc., B.Tech. and M.Tech. students in biotechnology, microbiology, biochemistry, forensic science, veterinary science and other life sciences.

Practical coverage

• Sample handling, aseptic techniques and media preparation
• Microbial culture, staining and microscopy
• DNA extraction, PCR and agarose gel electrophoresis
• UV spectrophotometry and basic molecular data interpretation
